The civil war in Yemen is the most intense current humanitarian tragedy. It is stoked by weaponry poured into Yemen from the US through Saudi Arabia. Biden has stopped these exports.
Climate change is not just a leading cause but the overwhelming cause of migration out of afflicted countries – extreme weather is displacing 3 times as many people as armed conflict, and 9 times a many as fear of persecution. Biden has ordered a study of what the US and the world should do about treating migrants better and addressing the causes of the problem.
The archaic practice of the death penalty is ending in yet another US state – for the first time, a southern one, Virginia.

Biden needs to stand up to China for its Uighur genocide.

You’re right. We have campaigned frequently for Uighur human rights – Xinjiang is now a parallel to Tibet. There is also Inner Mongolia (Southern Mongolia), for which there is still at present an action you can take on our “Ready-Made Human Rights Letters” website, about the third action down.

Ahh, yes, the Biden miracle is spreading out in an amazing ripple effect if you believe WHO ( https://kyma.com/news/national-world/2021/02/10/global-covid-19-cases-declined-17-worldwide-last-week-who-says/) and who would not since they said for so long there was no threat from the virus in China (https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=who+says+no+threat+from+coronavirus&docid=607994475897947058&mid=2A12AD6F8C1E68709B4B2A12AD6F8C1E68709B4B&view=detail&FORM=VIRE)
Ah the alleged difference a year or a day or a leader make!
This is a good development, and I am also glad about the ending of the death penalty in the Virginia state. However, I am a bit skeptical of climate change being a leading cause of migrations; it may be a factor, but there are much more important factors making people decide to migrate (ie, primarily socio-economic). Thanks.
I had the privilege of visiting Yemen 10 years ago. Then it was a beautiful country. Ancestral home to the Queen of Sheba. We can only hope that peace reigns supreme soon.
