The short rise of Monmouth Street is dominated by the church tower, which looks as if by falling it would exactly fill the street.

I had to walk up here on several successive Thursday evenings at the same time. On the first, forty or fifty gulls formed a circular parliament above the church tower. On the second Thursday, which happened to be March 1 with the sky a little brighter: no gulls but a nearly full moon.

the way you glided into town! So, back around to the right.
Or possibly across the road to visit the church.
