This seems an alley, but it is called Mill Lane, and opens out into a space, overlooked by a café on one side, and looking down on the other into a curve of the river.

Ahead are the grouped buildings of the Town Mill.

To the right of the mill is a footway that you might not notice, especially if the space in front is obscured by parked cars and strolling people.
